About Reach Apac
Reach Apac is a non-profit organization founded in November 2024 with a mission to serve the underserved communities in Apac, Northern Uganda, by providing essential healthcare services and addressing social determinants of health. We focus on empowering local communities through offering medical care, surgical interventions, and efforts to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure through education. Our work has been made possible by the generous support of our friends and partners, enabling us to bring healing to children and families suffering from preventable diseases and painful conditions, helping them regain their health and well-being.

How do you use donations?
Great question! We invest every dollar into life-changing programs—like mobile health clinics, maternal and child health support, school programs, and youth empowerment. We also keep overhead low so more of your gift goes straight to the field to address several social determinants of health.
Can I choose where my donation goes?
Absolutely. You can let us know if you’d like to support healthcare or education programs. Or you can give where it’s needed most, helping us

How much can I give to support a program?
Every gift matters—whether big or small. What truly counts is the heart behind your support. For as little as $30 monthly, you can sponsor a child’s education. You can also choose to sponsor part (or all) of a quarterly medical, surgical, or mobile prenatal clinic.Check “Our Programs” for more details
How often can I donate?
It’s completely up to you! You can make a one-time gift or choose to give monthly or quarterly to create lasting impact throughout the year.
Do you only work in Uganda?
Our heart is in Apac, Northern Uganda, but our vision is Africa at large. We partner with others tackling health and social determinants of health such as education challenges in under-served communities across low- and middle-income countries.

Who leads Reach Apac?
We’re led by a passionate team of healthcare professionals and researchers. Our founder and CEO, Jacob Otile, M.D., M.P.H., D.C.M., is a physician and clinical researcher born and raised in Apac, Northern Uganda and now based in the United States. He is dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities and access while simultaneously addressing the social determinants of health. He works with a group of kindhearted individuals from all over the world to bring this vision and mission to life
